FOUNDED IN GHENT
A LIVING TRADITION
For more than 55 years, Collegium Vocale Gent has been shaped by friendship, collective craftsmanship and a shared pursuit of excellence. What makes the vocal ensemble unique is its combination of musical purity, historical awareness, artistic integrity and deep human connection.
That craftsmanship lives not in one person, but in the collective. Rehearsals and concerts are moments of exchange and growth, where singers and musicians inspire one another, share musical insights and refine a common sound. Years of commitment have created an artistic language that reaches across generations.
Collegium Vocale Gent is not only building on a flourishing concert life, but also laying the foundations for the future. Alongside Philippe Herreweghe, Maude Gratton and Barbora Kabátková also provide artistic direction to the ensemble.
This is only possible thanks to people who believe in music’s enduring power: to move us, to connect us and to be passed on.
